Our Responsibility to the Environment

Businesses tend to follow the same basic objectives: provide quality products and/or services while treating each customer in a fair and conscientious manner. For Tecumseh that's not good enough. We manufacture quality products, conduct operations and offer services in a way that's responsible to the Earth's environment and protective of its natural resources.

To this end, our R & D teams have created families of engines that meet all environmental standards in the USA, including CARB and EPA.

We strive to:

• Work with all government entities to develop technically sound environmental laws and regulations.
• Recognize that protection of the environment is a company-wide priority, assumed by management and employees at all levels within the Company.
• Evaluate current technology, products and raw materials for waste minimisation and review proper handling and disposal techniques for existing wastes.
